Apologies

I know, I know, it’s been way too long since my last post.  I apologize.  Really, I’m sorry.  And, I’m not going to make any excuses…  Except for the fact that I’ve basically been catatonic ever since I found out that MEREDITH SLEPT WITH GEORGE.

Okay, yeah, when I put Meredith in that cab a few weeks ago, I figured she was going to go home and get a good night’s rest the moment her pretty head hit her pillow.  I had no idea she was going to rip George’s beating heart out of his chest, throw it into a blender and grind it up into itty, bitty, tiny pieces by HAVING SEX WITH HIM.

Deep breaths, Joe, deep breaths.

George has stopped by the bar a few times since that ill-fated evening.  And, I’ve definitely gotten the impression that he doesn’t want to talk about anything having to do with that night.  I mean, the dude has stopped talking to Meredith and started bunking with Cristina and Burke.  I’m sure Cristina is thrilled about that!

Personally, I don’t think things will ever be the same between Meredith and George.  Right now, things are bad between these two.  Just last night, George was here, talking to me about some hot ortho doc he met up at the hospital.  I think her name was Dr. Torres.  Anyway, the moment Meredith stepped foot inside the bar, George stopped talking, threw down some cash, and left.  Yeah.  I was ready to call Meredith out, but she shut me up as soon as I opened my mouth.

It turns out that Mer has apologized and apologized, but, it’s no use.  George refuses to listen.  It’s sad, really.  Meredith and George made really great friends.  I at least want to see them back on speaking terms.  Things just aren’t the same.

And yeah. George and Meredith--awkward. Meredith tried her best to apologize, but to no avail. And to be honest--George left Meredith, when he promised her he never would. So I'm a little mad at him, too, regardless of what Meredith did. The girl had one hell of night, and she was a bit under the influence (enough for you to cab her)--I think he should get over it.

Don't get me wrong--I love George. But in this case, I think he's thinking too much with his wounded pride, and not enough with his heart/compassion.

I hope George and Mer can work things out, but their friendship may never be the same again, if they can get it back at all. We'll just have to see what happens. Perhaps he will find what he needs with Dr Torres.

I thought George took a great step by moving out. I sort of took it as a "gonna have some self-respect and grow up" kind of move... However I've been thoroughly disappointed that he's still acting so immature. Now the bad news, ok, I fell asleep from exhaustion last night and missed half of the show. Thank you, thank you, thank you from all of us in my dorm who live and breathe GA! We check for your blog several times a day (which is sad really) and we were so pumped to see a new one. It was awful, horrible, no good, very bad to find out about George and Mer, but it was inevitable and necessary for George to get over Mer. Welcome back Joe!!!! So glad to hear from you, but I've got to tell ya, I am so tired of people singing the "poor George" song. It seems like everyone puts all the blame on Meredith. George is an adult, right? I get that he got his feelings hurt, but he's the one who instigated the whole thing. He went to her bedroom!! I realize he thought he loved her, but he was her friend and as her friend he knew she wasn't over McDreamy and ready to move on. He also knew for the past few months she's been having a series of one-night-stands in an attempt to get over McDreamy. He even talked to her about it!! When he walked into her bedroom he had to have smelled the alcohol on her and after taking one look at her he had to have know she was a wreck. He set himself up to get hurt and now he puts all the blame on Meredith?? What's worse is that all her friends, including McDreamy immediately blamed her. What the heck is with that??? They all KNEW she wasn't over Derrick. Why hasn't anyone asked her why she did it? Do they know who came into whose bedroom?? ...I would have a hard time forgiving any of them if I were her. Friends should support each other and help, instead they are making a bad situation even more painful. Please be her friend Joe, she really needs one right now. Oh, I almost forgot, give Alex a great big "Way to go!" You should have heard him tell George off the other day. He basically told him to quit acting like a baby and grow up. (George has been giving Meredith the silent treatment.) Ya-hoo!!! It's about time somebody put him in his place about his treatment of Meredith. Hopefully now he'll accept some of the responsibility for what happened between them. Give Alex a drink from me and put it on my tab cuz I think he's going to need it,Izzy dumped him.
Well, that's about it for now Joe, sorry if I talked your ear off. Hope you see things from Meredith's view a little better. She's a sweety, just a little messed up.
